Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Friendly and extremely helpful staff. Homemade breakfast buffet. Very cozy room. Excellent views of lake and mountain. Amazing location near a puffin colony. Bathroom extremely clean even though not private. Highly recommend staying here.

I had the pleasure of staying at this guesthouse, and I must say, it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the host, and their hospitality set the tone for a fantastic stay. What truly stood out was that, at the time of our visit, we were the only guests, granting us the entire house to ourselves. However, even if we had shared the space with others, it wouldn't have been an issue at all, given the spaciousness of the property. The house itself is incredibly roomy, boasting two generously sized bathrooms and a total of four bedrooms. The bed we slept in was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. But what truly left us in awe was the interior design. Everything within the guesthouse appeared to be brand new, and the decor was not only welcoming but also exquisitely beautiful. We found ourselves inspired by the interior design and have even taken some ideas back home with us for our own living space. In summary, our stay at this guesthouse was a remarkable experience. The warm reception, spacious accommodations, and stunning interior design all contributed to an unforgettable visit. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch guesthouse experience.

Downstairs of a lovely house. Loved the decoration and the hospitality and bread of Elsa. Bed was comfortable. 10/10 would stay here again. They had a microwave oven and a fully equipped kitchen 😍

Beautiful room with a warm atmosphere. There was a water shut down in town. The staff were immediately there for us and the whole episode was sorted out within less than an hour

The owner was really friendly and the whole farm was great. They are making their own bread and maramelades for the breakfast and the lamp meat is also their production. The breakfast is full buffet and with it.

Lyngás Guesthouse is located by Route 1 in Egilsstadir, East Iceland. It offers free parking, a shared kitchen and basic rooms with free WiFi. exceptional value for money and very clean with great cooking facilities, no staff on site so that was a little strange but it didn't impact our stay
