A traditional Icelandic breakfast is served every day at Vogafjos Café, located in a cowshed 3 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse. Dinner based on local produce, such as smoked lamb and trout, is also served here. Our three-night stay at the Vogafjos Farm Resort in Mývatn was truly magical, as we were fortunate to witness the stunning Aurora Borealis just outside our cabin doorsteps, perfectly living up to its reputation as the capital of northern lights. The cozy and comfortable lodging made the experience well worth the price, despite the food being a bit on the pricey side. Overall, the breathtaking views and unique atmosphere made it an unforgettable getaway!

Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. With a terrace, the property also features a shared lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. Great location, friendly host Joanna who explained everything on our arrival. Really nicely appointed with an enormous kitchen with everything you would need. ( except for a microwave which was surprising) Only 4 rooms so heaps of space.

Eldá Guesthouse is located in Reykjahlíð, just a few minutes on foot from Lake Myvatn. There is a golf course 750 metres from the property. Each room includes a work desk, a wash basin and free WiFi. Bathrooms are shared. Location was very near lake myvatn. Late check in option was easy, breakfast was good
