Our three-night stay at the Vogafjos Farm Resort in Mývatn was truly magical, as we were fortunate to witness the stunning Aurora Borealis just outside our cabin doorsteps, perfectly living up to its reputation as the capital of northern lights. The cozy and comfortable lodging made the experience well worth the price, despite the food being a bit on the pricey side. Overall, the breathtaking views and unique atmosphere made it an unforgettable getaway!

Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. It's among beautiful greens and lava fields. The common area is spacious and comfy. There are plenty of stuff to make breakfast/quick snack. Joana is super friendly and helpful when we checked in.

Eldá Guesthouse is located in Reykjahlíð, just a few minutes on foot from Lake Myvatn. There is a golf course 750 metres from the property. Each room includes a work desk, a wash basin and free WiFi. Location was very near lake myvatn. Late check in option was easy, breakfast was good

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cabin! The location was perfect—not only for exploring but also for relaxing in nature. It was the ideal spot to watch the Northern Lights, and what an experience it was! Watching the aurora dance over the lake was simply unforgettable—the absolute highlight of our entire trip! ✨🌌 The cabin itself was warm, cozy, and beautifully set up—just what you need for a comfortable stop while doing the Ring Road. Our host was very thoughtful and made sure everything was perfect for us. A special mention to the sweet lady at breakfast—she was so kind and took great care of us! We highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again! 😊🏡🔥

Quietly located 5 km from Iceland's Ring Road and 13 km from Lake Mývatn, this family-run guest house offers views over Sandfell Mountain. The view is fantastic, especially while using the hot tubs and looking over the fields. It’s so convenient that there’s a restaurant, good dinner and breakfast!

Offering rooms and cottages, Hlid Hostel is 500 metres from Lake Mývatn, in Reykjahlíd. WiFi and parking are free. Facilities include a BBQ area, terrace and shared kitchen. Super big kitchen. Eating area with a view. Nice reception people let me check in early. Only me in the room. Heater was on when I got there and the whole place was very warm. Heated floor in the shower was amazing-- very deluxe.
