The ideal location for photographing the aurora! Mirror like water in foreground, mountains in background, and clear 180 degree view of the sky. Got amazing photos right from their backyard. We will be back. Highly recommended.

The check-in was clear, simple, and completely stress-free, which set the tone for a relaxing stay. There’s a warm, authentic atmosphere here, yet it’s kept at the standard of a hotel. On top of that, the location is perfect. Stykkishólmur is such a beautiful little town, with colorful houses, a charming harbor, and a small hilltop offering a lovely viewpoint over the town. Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. We stayed in Helga III, amazing cabin near the lake. 1,5 years ago we were also guest in this amazing place, loved the place once again. Amazing beds, complete cabin, and the view, I can`t even describe how beautiful, you will have to experience it for your self! We will certainly be back! Takk fyrir allt!

Set on a farm 8 km from Grundarfjördur, this modern guest house offers a 9-hole golf course, plus free Wi-Fi and parking. Snæfellsjökull National Park is 40 minutes’ drive away. Everything! It was wonderful, the location, the views, the fasciitis, just everything.

The room was very spacious, the beds extremely comfortable! We only stayed for one night but we really enjoyed it! The staff was very helpful and ready to answer all the questions:) kitchen was well equipped, even with filtered coffee and all kinds of dry food left by other travelers. The area was peaceful with beautiful roads around and views. We'll definitely return there! Thank you!
