This hotel is plonked in the corner of a car park 3 minutes walk from a terminal at the slightly seedy looking Catania Airport. By most reckoning, it should be just a place to dive into to escape the hassle of travel and get some shut eye for a few hours, yet it is the exact opposite. It's chic and has been exquisitely finished. The staff in our one night stay, one after another, outdid each other in welcoming and looking after us, I.e. Fabrizio, Antonio and Davido, I hope I spelt those names correctly. The view from my room was of a car park, but Mount Etna was smoking away behind it. I lay in bed and watched it for an hour. On the other side was the runway. I sat in a bench on the morning and watched planes take off and land.for another hour, it was very pleasant. The soundproofing was excellent, by the way. Situated in Agrigento, in a historic building, 14 km from Scala dei Turchi, Villa Amoroso - Ospitalità Mediterranea is a recently renovated guest house with a garden and shared lounge. This guest house features air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. We had a wonderful stay at Villa Amoroso. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The room was beautiful, especially the painted ceiling and everything was spotlessly clean. We also really enjoyed the breakfast in the peaceful garden. The location is great too, very close to the Valley of the Temples.

Four Rooms Catania is a recently renovated guest house in the centre of Catania, 2.4 km from Lido Arcobaleno and 800 metres from Catania Piazza Duomo. The property has mountain and city views, and is 700 metres from Stazione Catania Centrale. The accommodation offers a lift, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. Extremely nice place. The location is 10/10. The place is clean, the interior is modern, there is an elevator. All the main squares are one step away. Breakfast is on the main square with a great view. The hostess is kind and accommodating. We are very satisfied.
