The duvets and beds were really comfortable, AC was great and the place was absolutely spotless, very clean. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone and would love to stay here again!

Really appreciated the quiet ambience and comfortable lounge, with complimentary tea and drip coffee. Lots of manga and books to browse through, along with a thorough sightseeing and food map. Also a very cute variety of Ghibli decorations and memorabilia in the lounge area. Location is close to Takayama Eki but in the snow it was a bit hard to go to and from with a wheel suitcase. Any other weather and it is completely walkable.

It is located 7.9 km from Lake Kawaguchi and provides a shared kitchen. The guest house has parking on-site, a fitness centre and a 24-hour front desk. This accommodation was very nice and the host is so friendly and considerate. All the facilities were clean, the neighbors were courteous and the bikes provided made our stay so eventful. I recommend anyone staying in Fuji to stay here. but just be aware you will be walking or biking a lot so prepare mode of transportation beforehand.

The staff was SO friendly, dinner and breakfast were amazing and the place itself was new and tidy. Our room also had insanely nice views to the mountains. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

It is situated 35 km from Lake Shojiko and features a shared kitchen. The guest house features family rooms. Great apartment with a real Japanese feel, and lots of space (we stayed in the Sengen-no-ma family apartment with lake / pond view). Perfect location for exploring the Mt. Fuji area.

At the guest house, each unit includes bed linen and towels. I can’t say enough great things about this place. Everything is so clean and well kept, the staff is so friendly, welcoming and helpful and there is a wonderful sense of community among those staying there. The beds were also some of the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced at an accommodation.

This was such an unforgettable experience. We were supposed to stay for just one night but ended up staying 4! Okay, from the beginning. We had different accommodation in Hakuba, but we weren’t satisfied so we were looking for something else and found Dark Horse by chance. The moment we walked into the house, we were greeted with smiles and warmth. Andy, Rika, Momo and Hana create something truly special. We’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and such, but this one will stay in our hearts for a long time. Everything is well thought out, you can see it’s taken care of down to the smallest detail, you can see it’s done properly and not just to be the cheapest. We felt so beautifully hosted. They also have an amazing sake collection to try, and the food is delicious too. Thank you again and we already miss it. I hope we’ll get the chance to meet again. PS.
