Convenient location. Taka was very helpful for organizing things (luggage transfer) and gave me very good advice for diner / sunset / breakfast. bathsuits washed for free :) It is possible to park bikes inside, even if it’s not really needed. I have also appreciated the way and style this place has been recently refurbished. Our room was close to the road but there are just a few cars at night and we slept well.

The landlord even lent me a bicycle, allowing me to explore the Yokai City in Sakaiminato freely! What's more amazing is that the landlord is actually from New Zealand! When he learned my name is Kiwi, he looked astonished. When I showed him my kiwi bird profile picture, we high-fived excitedly! What a wonderful coincidence! He kept showing me the New Zealand elements in the house, and there were really many!

It was an interesting experience to live like a local in a tatami room. The owners of the property are very nice and hospitable people. In the owners' house, you can see a large collection of things related to the famous anime "Detective Conan". In addition, the respected owner showed us very beautiful lamps that he makes himself, and in the evening the owners kindly offered us to try a traditional Japanese tea ceremony with a sensei with the opportunity to make our own green tea. They also treated us to delicious baked sweet potatoes and gave us souvenirs related to the anime. It was very nice. At Yura Station, where the property is located, there are many interesting locations dedicated to the anime Detective Conan. If you are a fan of this anime, or just interested in Japanese culture and traditions, you should definitely stay at this friendly house.
