Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). We love the Miyajima guest house, the staff was super friendly, the location was great, the common areas were beautiful! We also really enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. Overall the only negative was that we only stayed one night, would love to come back and stay at least two nights in the future. ❤️

The hotel was beautiful design, beautiful location, exceptionally clean and pleasant. We loved that this is also a social impact program - providing training and employment to disabled people. We were pleasantly surprised how spacious they were, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The host was incredibly kind, he suggested the best places to eat and buy locally produced lemon pastries, and when we were leaving, he brought his cat, Tiger, and waved goodbye to us. As we were on a three-day bike trip and only had our small backpacks with us, we loved the fact that everything was provided: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, etc. In each room there were even a couple of bottles of water and everything for making tea and coffee. In the common spaces there was a microwave, guidebooks, manga books, and a wall full of Toso Maps of the Shimanami Kaido trail. We will definitely book Bed&Cafe Onzo again next time we bike the Shimanami Kaido!

I would rate it a 9/10 for value, location (it is midway thru the Shimanami Kaido and close to the bike path and the coast), cleanliness, and the awesome young owner couple who were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

I truly enjoyed my recent stay at Guest House Michishio! Koji's hospitality was perfect - attentive yet unobtrusive, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The guesthouse itself was impeccably clean and quiet, offering a truly relaxing experience, especially during my 10-day stay. I can't wait to return soon!

Very friendly staff was super welcoming and accommodated my late arrival. Rooms were very spacious and enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious as well!

Jock is a wonderful host, very giving with his time and tips. Made us takoyaki, which was yum!!! Parents found the chairs a bit hard (used to a sofa :) ), but it was fine. Location was fine, ten mins to at least 2 supermarkets and maybe 15 mins to main train station - easy to walk.

The room is very big and comfortable. It is near to Conan street with a bit of walking, i am able to reach the attractions. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They adviced me to many places and the route i should take to be able to visit all of the attractions.
