Bed&Cafe Onzo オンゾー está en Onomichi, a 24 km de Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, y dispone de alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. We booked two rooms for our family of four. We were pleasantly surprised how spacious they were, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The host was incredibly kind, he suggested the best places to eat and buy locally produced lemon pastries, and when we were leaving, he brought his cat, Tiger, and waved goodbye to us. As we were on a three-day bike trip and only had our small backpacks with us, we loved the fact that everything was provided: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, etc. In each room there were even a couple of bottles of water and everything for making tea and coffee. In the common spaces there was a microwave, guidebooks, manga books, and a wall full of Toso Maps of the Shimanami Kaido trail. We will definitely book Bed&Cafe Onzo again next time we bike the Shimanami Kaido!

ゲストハウス尾道ポポー Guesthouse Onomichi Pawpaw se encuentra en Onomichi, a 12 min a pie de Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, y ofrece jardín, habitaciones libres de humo, wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento y terraza. Es un lugar muy agradable donde alojarse para realizar el shimanami kaido de Onomichi a Imabari. La amabilidad y atención es insuperable, hacen sentirte como en casa. Si algún día vuelvo hacer el recorrido espero poder hospedarme de nuevo aquí. También rentan bicicletas por si necesitan el servicio.

The location is simply stunning, the guesthouse sits peacefully on the seafront of tranquil Mukaishima Island, surrounded by lush vegetation and easily accessible by car. It's the perfect destination if you're cycling along the Shimanami Kaido. Youko is an incredible host, warm, welcoming, and exceptionally helpful. She provided excellent recommendations for bike rentals, local restaurants, and activities, and every day left thoughtful notes at reception highlighting events happening in the area. When we accidentally left our backpack (with passports inside!) at the guesthouse, she promptly mailed it to our next destination without hesitation. Our 8-year-old daughter, Alice, loved the play area in the communal dining space, bouncing on the trampoline in the garden, and meeting the resident animals: friendly sheep, two charming cats, and Maroon, the adorable dog. The property itself is spotless. We stayed in one of the Japanese-style rooms, which felt spacious by Japanese standards, and offered spectacular views over the bay. The rooftop terrace was another highlight for us. We'd wholeheartedly recommend staying here, it’s truly a special place.
