The proximity of the guest house was very close to the station, and the host and hostess, Funa and Kimi were extremely kind and helpful. The introduction to their guest house was very thoroughly, and made sure everyone was warm after traveling through the winter snow and temperature. Not only were the hosts very friendly and willing to chat, but they even provided and help make reservations at recommended restaurants! When I asked where I could find a furoshiki I could purchase for a souvenir, Kimi kindly offered one she had for me to take home as a souvenir! I had a great time chatting with them while waiting for my train to the next destination. They were even helping some other guests with translation of medical documents due to an injury received while skiing. Funa and Kimi are the perfect host to anyone staying in Otaru! I stayed in the Japanese style room and wish I could have stayed longer. Next time I go to Otaru, there's no doubt I'll be staying with them again!

What an amazing place to stay. Kanji and Marilyn made this place feel like home: Their warmth and hospitality (and amazing sense of humor) were the highlights of this place. As well as the incredible food, beautiful views, a comfortable room, that had everything you needed! Just perfect! Every detail is thought of at this beautiful place!

It was during the Yosaikan Festival and this place away from Sapporo city centre, didn't expect anything as only need a place to stay for 1 night and it turned out it was a very pleasant stay and unexpected. The owners are fly fishermen and aesthetic of the place it decorated with fishing related decor here and there. All the facilities are very new and clean, the hosts are very friendly and helpful even dropping us (myself and another guest) to the station (like a ten minute drive) ! Owner is Japanese but studied in the US as I understand so English is very much not a problem here. All staff speak Japanese too so issue for Japanese speakers either! This is a hostel, not a hotel, but as long as you allow that, it is one of the very best of hostel. I have stayed at many hostels across Japan, and even within Japanese standard (as you rarely miss here) it is very much one of the best, clean, great staff, all facilities are new and clean, all amenities available, toothbrush, towel, shampoo etc Very good experience, would recommend

Pirka Sapporo tọa lạc ở Sapporo, cách Ga Sapporo 2.7 km và Ga Shin-Sapporo 12 km. The owners were some of the best people I've met. They are so warm and friendly. The place itself is very clean and well organized. Free miso soup, tea, and coffee in the common area was also very welcomed! There's even a bathtub for those who prefer that over a shower. Very well recommended for anyone to stay!

I liked everything about this place. This property is well maintained. It’s clean, bright, new but rustic. The owner is family. The animals are friendly! This is a beautiful place to stay.
