He knows the bus timetable by heart and offered hiking poles, gloves, tankan fruit and everything I needed :) Nice and clean shower too, and free access to washing machine, which is a big plus in Yakushima! Did I mention the extra soft duvet and comfy bed?

The location was really great with things to explore and experience in both directions from the pension. The house was beautiful, and there was really nice glass art and drawings made by Yuki (host) through out the pension. The hosts were eager to share tips about things to do, depending on the weather. We have nothing negative to say about this gem in Yakushima. 10/10!
