The host (without even us asking him for anything) found that our shoes were wet after a trek put them for drying (on a drying machine) only for us to find the shoes all dried up the next day. Unbelievable. The location is walkable from the port and has house had everything you’d need. The kitchen and the shower was equipped with everything that you’d need during your stay. The house was small but very clean. Would highly recommend.

I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner and strongly recommend for those looking for traditional Japanese cooking and a taste of local dishes.

This guest house has a garden and free private parking. The guest house features family rooms. We spent great moments here. Inside the house, it is pretty warm. There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.

The location was really great with things to explore and experience in both directions from the pension. The house was beautiful, and there was really nice glass art and drawings made by Yuki (host) through out the pension. The hosts were eager to share tips about things to do, depending on the weather. We have nothing negative to say about this gem in Yakushima. 10/10!

The owner did a great job making the guests’ stay as convenient and comfortable as possible. There are 2 big jacuzzi and showers (as well as toilets). I came here after 3 days of trekking in the mountains and this place was heavenly. It really felt like a proper vacation. The female staff who greeted me was a kind-hearted and accommodating person who explained everything to me. Her breakfast was absolutely yummy! Thank you so much, my tired body could rest thanks to you! I’d like to come here again next time 🥰
