Amazing hosts that gave us great tips where to eat, what to visit, etc. They really took care of us! The room is great, especially if you have a view on the river. They also have a nice communal room and terrace where you can BBQ or meet other travellers. The convenience store is right next door :) There is also an onsen closeby (walking distance). Other sightseeing is best done by car. It is amazing to swim in the river next to the guesthouse, super clear water and they created a nice little beach.

Guests at the guest house can make the most of yoga classes offered on-site. The area is popular for cycling and hiking, and bike hire is available at Guesthouse boro-ya. Outdoor play equipment is also available for guests at the accommodation. Yancy was incredibly friendly and helpful! Kids loved the chicken coop, yuzu tree, and fire pit. There were a lot of cute touches around the house! It was the perfect mountain escape for our family!

My party had mechanical failure with one of our bikes when we arrived in the middle of a snow storm, and Ono-san went completely above and beyond to help us solve the problem and get where we wanted to go. The hostess kindly organized transportation of my partner's heavy backpack to the next accommodation so she could walk more easily on that leg of our pilgrimage. It was my second stay and I look forward to returning one day.

All units have bed linen. Maki-san was really friendly. Upon greeting, she showed me around the building. As I came late, I was planning to make a 30 minute walk to Kochi castle. Maki-san told me she was going around the area and offered me a ride which I'm truly grateful for. Bunk beds are large and have small shelves to keep items close. Absolutely loved how the walls, bed frames and literally almost everything was made of wood. A very warm feeling. Walkable from Kochi station, it's location is also convenient
