At the guest house, every unit includes bed linen and towels. This place was brilliant. The hosts were so friendly and we loved the coworking space next door to the guesthouse. We were able to catch up with a little work as well as get a great night's sleep. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful and there were many shops nearby. Tomaruku was an excellent choice and we would love to return one day in the near future.

This 2-star hotel offers a shared kitchen, room service and free WiFi. The hotel provides a hot tub and luggage storage space. We immediately felt at home. Loved the food, the hospitality, the view, the nature sounds at night... The room is spacious and we couldn't wait for early mornings to drink coffee on our very own terrace. The hosts are very warm and friendly, full of helpful tips about surroundings. We have been in Japan for 20 days, from Tokyo to Osaka and this place along with Shikoku has definitely been the highlight of the trip. Much needed escape from crowds and super charged civilization. If we ever come back to Japan, Sorayama guest house is the one place we are sure to visit again.
Otoyocho
Guests at the guest house can make the most of yoga classes offered on-site. The area is popular for cycling and hiking, and bike hire is available at Guesthouse boro-ya. Outdoor play equipment is also available for guests at the accommodation. The location was absolutely magical as we had the chance of a perfect weather. The house is wide and the terrace view is stunning. Hiking was our favourite activity but it is also possible to go in the hotels not so far away by car and have a moment in an Onsen.

My party had mechanical failure with one of our bikes when we arrived in the middle of a snow storm, and Ono-san went completely above and beyond to help us solve the problem and get where we wanted to go. The rooms were also very clean and nice. Thank you so much for your help and for a wonderful stay!
Konan
Situated in Konan in the Kochi region, Guesthouse Suisennosato features a garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 17 km from Kami City Takashi Yanase Memorial Hall, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 18 km from Kōchi Station. We rented a car at Kochi Ryoma Airport. The guesthouse was conveniently located near the airport and the freeway, making it easy to access our destination, Dogo Onsen. Initially, I was concerned about parking, but the guesthouse was on a wide road, which is important to know when renting a car in Japan. It was simple to maneuver in and out of the parking spaces located behind the house. The guesthouse was in the town of Noichi, where we enjoyed delicious meals at nearby restaurants. Additionally, its central location between my two other destinations, Kochi-shi and Aki-shi, meant that I didn't have to drive a lot in one day. Our host, Kyoko-san, was incredibly friendly and kind. Since it was the off-season, she gave the three of us two rooms, which allowed for a comfortable stay. I slept well during our time there. Unfortunately, I lost a hubcap from the rental car—it's a long story. On our departure morning, Kyoko-san went out of her way to prepare breakfast for my son and me. After saying our goodbyes, Kyoko-san called to inform us that my son had left his passport and charger behind. She kindly brought them all the way to the airport for us. Overall, I felt that the guesthouse was truly a home away from home.

The host is a friendly and lovely lady who does her best to keep the guest house clean and running smoothly. She lived in a house next door and seemed to rather overwhelmed running the guest house by herself. We liked our room, though it was snug with our three futons and bags. We stayed two rainy nights.
The quiet and beautiful location, traditional design, friendly host
The host is very kind and friendly. We have some welcoming biscuit and snacks. Although she don't speak English, she still explain everything patiently with google translate and body language. We ride a bike to arrive the guest house. The day we arrived rain heavily and the host gave us some towel for cleaning. She let us store the bike and wet clothes in her garage.
Nice & quiet neighbourhood, friendly & helpful host, a cosy place
Great hostel with relatively roomy capsules in the dorm, great facilities, helpful friendly staff, excellent breakfast in common room.
Great hostel!! In a great location and the owner was very kind. He gave us several recommendations to do around Kochi and helped us with our plans. We are already planning to stay here again when we visit kochi in the future 😃
Extremely aesthetic, wabi sabi, stylish house, design, furniture. Kenji, the host, is very very friendly and very helpful. He speaks good English. Nature and quietness around are beautiful and would make a stay for a few days with good weather valuable. Good kitchen with all facilities
Great location, friendly staff, quiet and spotlessly clean.
Amazing guesthouse! Kenji is the most hospitable, fun and friendly host and will do anything to help your stay. The location is a 2 min walk to the Shimanto River and one of the submersible bridges - so picturesque and quiet. You can also rent bikes from Kenji and roam the riverside. Kitchen and other facilities are great too inside this traditional building. Will definitely return back to Shimanto Riverside Hideaway!
