Linda really takes care that you have everything you need and you are comfortable, and provides tips to enjoy Kyoto, info about events, etc. It really felt warm and a special experience. We also took the evening tour with Lee around the Geisha neighborhoods and were glad to spot some! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Kyoto.

Beautiful traditional japanese guesthouse just on the periphery of Gion district. On busy main road but very quiet inside with bedroom looking out on pretty garden. The owner was so charming and helpful and spoke very good English. Would.highlybrecommend the breakfast both Japanese and western style were fabulous. Really good local.restaurants nearby.

Location of the guest house is also a benefit - very close to both Nijo Castle and Imperial Palace.

The hosts were so nice and made everything feel easy while we were there. We just needed one more night in Kyoto and this place was so much better than the first place we spent most of our time. The room was small, but just what we needed. There was good tea and when we realized we had missed printing a ticket that required a hard copy they printed it for us quickly and made sure we had it right away. I loved the breakfast here. It was a nice mix of things and they let us sit in the larger room since no one was staying in it when we were there. We will for sure try to make it back to this location when we make it out to Japan again!
