Warm and friendly hosts that made us feel super welcome! We hope to come back again to stay at this awesome family-run hostel. They have a lovely big kitchen and dining area for guests to cook and hangout. Located right across the road from a great surfing beach with bikes for free and surfboard & wetsuit rentals. Lots of things in biking distance if you don't have a car and we took a train nearby that took us to the airport when leaving. Emi and Sok also offer surfing lessons and surf-skate lessons which we didn't sign up for but heard good things about from other guests. Super clean and wifi was good (my partner had to do a video meeting while there). The suggestions from our hosts on which breaks to go to so we could get some great surfs in were also really appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay that capped off our awesome time in Kyushu!!

I truly hope I make it back to this magical remote spot in Japan one day just to stay at this place longer! I was only there one night and it was too short. The views are incredible, check in and out was so easy. The space was so comfortable. Better than any other nights stay during my 2 weeks in Japan <3

The old-style Japanese house is a nice experience, especially if you are a “beginner” in discovering Japan (which we are not). The hosts are the kindest, they will help you with anything and be extremely happy to discuss with you. It is a perfect stop to explore Ōbi-shi and its samurai district if you want to avoid the high costs associated with sleeping directly in ōbi.

One of the best places I’ve stayed at during my time in Japan! The room is comfortable, the view from the shared kitchen is amazing and the hosts are really nice and helpful. I didn’t have a car but there’s a bus stop nearby with 4-5 busses a day in each direction - so if you wanna visit Aoshima or Udo Jingu it‘s easily accessible from there, even without a car!

The bedroom is perfect, very confortable with absolutely everything that you might need. The bathroom is very confortable as well.

Such a beautiful place to stay! Harry, the farmer, built it himself as well as the Japanese/American farm homestead. It is a beautiful place to relax in and children can run around the property safely so you feel like you can spend hours in this space and not have to be and about all the time. The wildlife is incredible here! On our walk around the property and down the track to the river we could spot so many frogs and crabs! The river is like it’s from a fairytale, with pebbles and fresh running water. Our kids caught shrimp, fish and crabs which they took back and made habitats for with containers from the mud kitchen. Oh I must mention the mud kitchen, which apart from being beautifully designed, kept the kids busy for hours. We could sit outside on the veranda, enjoy the nature and keep an eye on them. Ryoko cooked our breakfast and dinner for us which was absolutely beautiful food. The kids loved it too!! Highly recommend adding on breakfast and dinner!! Ryoko and Harry were both very accommodating and lovely, down to earth people (with great style and taste!). Harry gave us directions to the perfect small wave beach for our son to practice his surfing. There is an onsen very close by (10 minute walk), we went one a bit further away however and it was beautiful. This is a must stay in my opinion!

It was very nice and interesting , beeing in a i would say traditionall japanese house. The owner is very very friendly, she borrowed me her bicycle, so i could explore Ebino! The food was amazing!!! It's located near Aoshima beach (about 20min walk to Aoshima shrine). Also 7/11 between guest house and the beach. There's free shuttle from Miyazaki airport to the guest house if you request. The guest house owner is very kind and all the facilities within guest house are also excellent.
