The location is just great, even though there are hotels closer to the ski slope. There is a shared kitchen available to prepare any meal you might want. There is also laundry room. The hosts are the most helpful, nice and friendly. Onsen is just across the road.

Cafe&stay CASTANA localiza-se em Matsumoto, a 3,4 km de Estação Ferroviária de Matsumoto e a 6,1 km de Museu Japan Ukiyo-e. Staff was incredibly friendly. Appartement really spacious for Japanese standards, modern, clean, well equipped. Location not very near to train station, but easy (and affordable!) to catch a taxi at the train station. We came by car; free parking available. Quiet location, large supermarket nearby. Matsumoto is a great travellers' hub for day trips nearby.

Em Nozawa Onsen, a 32 km de Parque dos Macacos Jigokudani, Togoro dispõe de quartos com vistas da montanha e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito. No better place to stay in Nozawa! Chi and Shuei the owners are the loveliest, most welcoming and helpful hosts. The lodge is beautiful and clean, the rooms are large with ensuite toilet and shared shower room. The breakfast each morning is delicious. The location is amazing right in the centre of the village, a short 10min walk to Hikage Gondola or shuttle to Nagasaka Gondola. You can buy lift passes at the lodge and Chi and Shuei are willing to help with anything. I loved my stay here and really hope to stay again.

Guest House Hostel yukuru encontra-se em Iiyama, a 14 km de Ryuoo Ski Park, e apresenta acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito e um salão partilhado. A very nice place on the outskirts of Iiyama. Within about 30-40min walk you can get to the spots of interest in Iiyama (museums, shopping street, etc). I found the house to be spacious and clean. It felt like being at my parents' place. The hosts are very kind and caring. They can accomodate within reason pick up at Iiyama station. The hosts recommended me attractions of interest in Iiyama. I enjoyed them a lot. I went in a rainy day and so my things were wet. Especially my shoes, the hosts did their best at drying them without me having to ask or anything. They also provided a place to put my bicycle so it would be protected from the rain. In the morning, they shared home grown watermelon with me. In short, I felt welcomed and I had a warming experience. I absolutely recommend choosing this guest house.

Chikako San and Koji San treat you as guests in their home. Their staff is the same way. The breakfast is simple and delicious. They are interested in your plans and guide you on things locally including making restaurant recommendations as well as bookings for you. They are very generous in dropping you and collecting you for various purposes including the bus stop, the Happo slopes and restaurants. My daughter accidentally left her jacket somewhere and Koji San collected it for us without hesitation. Overall, I'd happily come here again.
