She was extremely accommodating and had everything ready for us when we got there. The beds are lovely and spacious, and the room is large enough to have room to keep your bags and unpack if needed. There's also hangers, coat rack, laundry all accessible for guests. There's a lovely common room with multiple places to sit and converse. AND she has a lovely drip coffee area! Ive never seen this in a hostel before throughout my 7 years of travelling. Such a lovely surpise. Overall 10/10

I loved everything, but especially the experience I had there, mostly thanks to the kindness that Yama-san and Yuka-san showed me. They were so welcoming, as were the other people who stayed at the hostel. The location is beautiful with wide open windows that show the view of the strait. People are lovely and kind. There is a space to cook your own food, which was very convenient! The bus runs through town, so you can easily catch it to go to Izuhara if you want. There are beautiful areas all around Yamaboushi that are great to check out!

The host was so thoughtful in the way he arranged the house and prepared useful items for our stay in the house. From a drying rack/laundry clips, to cooking utensils and various sauces and condiments, to additional bedding, we had everything we needed.

During me and my family’s one-night stay we were well taken care of from the moment we arrived in Sasebo until the moment we left. The hospitality was an 11/10 and I can’t say enough good things about Yuzu-san and her beautiful home. It was so well-designed and peaceful, and we wished that we could have stayed longer! The breakfast was delicious as well.

The location is great and the close towns around are just a walk away. If you like walking, its your place. The serenity , quietness and peace all around are stunning. We could feel the love put into the house during its remodeling. Admiring the way to stay as close as possible to original materials and way of building it. The living room is great and wants you to stay overlooking the rice patties all day long.

It is a self-contained unit adjacent to a small temple. It included a nice tatami mat room with a very small kitchen. The shower and washing machine were excellent. The host was fantastic; she spoke good English and we had a couple of fun conversations and she helped us to book a future accommodation. The unit is on the edge of the city, about 2km from the ferry and an hour excellent supermarket. We had a wonderful stay.

Staff was incredibly friendly and treated us very well. It was a pleasure to talk with everyone. The whole place felt like home. I would definitely visit again!

The traditional japanese style room was small but tidy and comfortable, with a pretty view on the water. The owner is very friendly and prepares tasty meals, both breakfast and dinner are recommended.
