We had a great stay at toranjyo lit, a traditional ryokan house. It is simple but has everything you need and it’s very charming. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, giving us tips how to structure our nioshima/teshima trip and picking us up from the bus stop.

The breakfast offers à la carte, American options and fruits and cheese are being served. At the guest house, the modern restaurant is open for dinner, brunch and cocktails and specialises in American cuisine. Location across the road from the ferry. Wonderful staff who welcomed us, kept our luggage, explained everything we needed to know about getting to Naoshima and Teshima, the fantastic fresh bagel breakfast! Everything. We couldn’t recommend Uno Port Inn highly enough! The onsen at Uno is amazing and great local restaurants. We could have stayed longer than one night as it’s a good way to spend a day at Teshima and then travel on to Naoshima the next day.
