Fantastic host, super helpful, kind and welcoming! Overall extremely comfortable for a hostel, with all the facilities you need in great condition. Having bikes available (regular ones are free) was SUCH a nice bonus, it literally made my trip. I could get around easily (you do need to like biking) including going to the city, or to nearby beaches, or even to much further places.

At the guest house, the units come with bed linen and towels. The location is great, 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal, which I used quite often as I used Ishigaki mainly as a hub between the other islands. There are also lots of eating and drinking spots in walking distance, plus some convenience stores and a supermarket. Kishaba the owner was very kind and helpfull and even took me on a mango picking tour (only during mango season). The room was great and during the time of day when you’re usually at the hostel the aircon is free so it’s quite the relief from the heat when you get back. The shower facilities were nice and clean and the washing machine and dryer were quick and efficient. Overall I had a great stay and if I come back to Ishigaki I will definitely stay here again.
