There is a very cozy living room, a kitchen that provides everything you need and a nice rooftop terrace. The best is that he provides free bicycles and the islands around are so beautiful and offer great sightseeing.

An amazing place—with even more amazing people. I’ve been traveling for eight years and stayed in countless guesthouses, but This is OKINAWA is one of the truly special ones. I was here for one month and from the moment I arrived, Taiga and Akane made me feel at home. They are welcoming, kind, and always ready to help. Taiga’s English is limited, but he’s eager to improve and does his best to make every guest feel comfortable. The guesthouse itself is simple yet cozy. The private and dorm rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are spacious, even featuring a small Japanese bathtub. There’s also a separate room with a fridge, microwave, washing machine, and dryer, with plans to add a small kitchen soon. The outdoor sitting area, which I called the living room, is the heart of the place. Some days we worked on DIY projects, other days we had BBQs, chatted with guests, or just relaxed. It can be lively and peaceful in the same day, but it never gets boring. I spent countless hours talking with other guests, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Located in the quiet hills of Mount Yaedake, it’s the perfect place to disconnect and recharge. There’s space for yoga, bonfires, or just relaxing in a hammock under the trees. While the guesthouse is remote, you can bike or walk to local spots, and Nago City is only a 10-minute drive away. If you have a rental car, exploring the island is easy. This isn’t just a guesthouse—it’s a home. Whether you stay for a few days or weeks, you’ll love your time here. I’m grateful to have found this place, and I hope you will be too!

Amazing accommodation with a wonderful owner! Recently, I had the opportunity to stay in one of the best accommodations on the island, and I must say that the experience was absolutely fantastic! Right upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. From the very first moment, we felt at home.The owner willingly provided us with plenty of useful tips about places worth visiting—ranging from beautiful beaches to great restaurants and stunning viewpoints. His recommendations helped us discover hidden gems on the island that we would have otherwise overlooked.As for the accommodation, it was incredibly clean and well-maintained. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, allowing us to focus solely on relaxation and enjoying our vacation.Additionally, the owner also assisted us in renting a car, which greatly facilitated our exploration of the island. His willingness to help and care made our visit even more enjoyable.Overall, I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a great place to stay with fantastic service. The location is great, 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal, which I used quite often as I used Ishigaki mainly as a hub between the other islands. There are also lots of eating and drinking spots in walking distance, plus some convenience stores and a supermarket. Kishaba the owner was very kind and helpfull and even took me on a mango picking tour (only during mango season). The room was great and during the time of day when you’re usually at the hostel the aircon is free so it’s quite the relief from the heat when you get back. The shower facilities were nice and clean and the washing machine and dryer were quick and efficient. Overall I had a great stay and if I come back to Ishigaki I will definitely stay here again.

He showed me some hidden places of the island with his mini van and I hanged out also with his friends. In this place you can meet other travelers too!

Clean and well appointed. Very cozy space! Excellent location. I was able to hang out in the common area after checking out as my flight did not leave until the evening which I appreciated. Also did a snorkeling trip with the host's company which was great. :) Overall excellent value.

It is a very nice place, and the owners are really nice and helpful. There was exceptionally good service. The view over the ocean from the room is amazing and it was nice to be able to sit and relax on the balcony with the view. The room has wat one need - bed, TV, kettle, fridge, and microwave.
