In addition, the owner’s cooking skills were very good. We enjoyed rich and delicious breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended this accommodation to everyone.

The instructions were very clear and proactive in the ideas of places to visit ! The place is very clean and well maintained. The meetings were great. We even shared an outdoor breakfast and dinner. This was my favorite stay during my trip! Surrounded by the countryside, this 280 years old house has all the charms of its age, but still reasonably modern amenities. The staff is especially friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And you can get amazing home-cooked meals too! If you want to go out of the beaten path and explore the rural side of Japan, this is absolutely the best place!

Dù tôi đến muộn so với giờ hẹn check in nhưng họ vẫn ra tận cửa chào đón. Chúng tôi đã trao đổi rất nhiều câu chuyện trong đó chủ trọ có giới thiệu rất nhiều điểm tham quan và onsen trong vùng nhưng rất tiếc tôi không có cơ hội kịp tham quan vì thời gian gấp rút. Quán trọ cũng vắng vì dịp này khách không đông, tuy chỉ có một mình ở trong nhà trọ nhưng tôi cảm thấy thoải mái và dễ chịu như ở nhà.

I was the only guest for the night. Great common area for multiple people. There is a full kitchen for use and while it is a bit out of the way it was one of the best places i stayed on my trip.

We spent three wonderful days in Hirosaki, a charming and authentic town that still feels untouched by mass tourism. It was refreshing to explore a place where the pace is slower and the culture feels so genuine. The absolute highlight of our stay was Guest House Chara, run by the kindest elderly couple, Fusao and Toshiko. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home—it wasn’t just a place to sleep, it truly felt like staying with family. Their house told a story, filled with warmth, history, and the little personal touches that made it feel lived-in and loved. From the amazing homemade breakfast to the delicious ramen dinners they prepared, every meal was made with care and love. The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from a supermarket and a laundromat, which made things really easy for us. This personal, welcoming experience truly made our trip special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, off-the-beaten-path experience in Japan. ありがとうございます

Uchi Matsushima Guesthouse tọa lạc ở Matsushima, cách Sendai City Community Support Center 23 km và Entsuin Temple 5 phút đi bộ. Property was very comfortable, had everything we needed and was impeccably clean. The host is a great and kind man who we had a great time chatting with.
