馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou se găsește în Nakatsugawa, la mai puțin de 1 km de Toson Memorial Museum, și are o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. What really stands out, is the 5-star service by the receptionists. Actually even better than 5 stars, as there's none of the condescending glances one might get at 5-star hotels. :-D I'm especially grateful for the extra help I got from the bilingual Japanese receptionist. Despite hostel-style accommodation, I slept very well and found the bed to be comfy. The place is easy to reach on foot from Magome-juku bus stop, even with a large suitcase, as there's a pavement all the way.

熱海温泉 実の別荘 se găsește în Atami, la aproximativ 19 minute de mers pe jos de Atami Sun Beach și la 27 km de Gara Hakone-Yumoto. The owner was super friendly and kept the onsen open late for us when we were out too late. He helped us research restaurants in the area and even gave us ice cream after a hot bath!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. We were extremely happy about our stay . Very spacious room, comfortable beds . The common spaces are very spacious and cozy. The location is great to walk to the center.

峠のお宿 巧の実家 Magome Guest House, Along the Nakasendo Trail se află în cartierul Magome din Nakatsugawa, aproape de Magome Observatory, și are o mașină de spălat și o terasă. The hosts are very kind people who do their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Since it is a rural area and there are no supermarkets close by the owner was kind enough to drive us to a nearby city to pick up our dinner. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and a great place to stay with small groups. We also received several drinks and snacks for free. For us this was the perfect way to end a day walking the nakasendo trail. I cannot give any higher recommendations!

Great accommodation in such a beautiful town, we had a room with a view of the mountains, and surrounding nature. Absolutely wonderful hosts, and can recommend their delicious dinner option aswell!

From communications prior to our arrival to meeting our host and the entire stay, we had a wonderful experience! The kitchen is large and fully stocked, they have a washer and dryer, and the rooms were exactly as listed. Our host was courteous and the staff would keep the guest house super clean. They even gave us a bottle of fresh squeezed locally farmed mandarin juice, which was delicious.
