The hostel Alrik is very kind and has good tips for local activities. Besides, he made designed the place with style and keeps it clean. Even the beds were comfortable, whicht is quite rare for a Japanese style room. The neighbourhood offers some of the best mountain and Gorge views of the island. You can cook at the guesthouse or head out for diner at the local restaurants next to the guesthouse. Highly recommend to stay here.

I was stuck on my cycling trip about 30km out from her house in the middle of an unexpected thunderstorm and she drove all the way to pick me up. I am forever grateful!!! Delicious dinner was then served and I enjoyed every single course!

The owner helped me a lot to secure transport, which guaranteed that I had a very good day and could see a lot. The location is very good and close to the train station. There you can rent bicycles and also there is the bus station for Iya valley. I also liked the facilities in the style of the hostel with well equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi and clean bathrooms.
