J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse is situated in Hongu, a 10-minute drive away or a 70-minute walk on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. Amazing. Loved it. Onsens fabulous!

The futon bed was so comfortable, the room was easily heated despite the cold weather, the facilities were clean and the design of the entire place is beautiful. Appreciated the well-equipped kitchen space - there’s plenty of room to cook a full meal in there and relax. The staff are very friendly too and gave great recommendations and always said hi, even when the downstairs bar was really busy! Only stopped here briefly but I’d comfortably stay a whole week or more in this beautiful guesthouse!

A very kind and hospitable host who left us many thoughtful gifts — coffee, candies, and even ice cream in the fridge! The room was cozy and comfortable, and we especially loved the couches. The bath was a real treat after a long day of walking. We only stayed one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer — it’s such a lovely place!

The location is superb, 1 min walk to Chikatsuyu bus stop. The building and environment is beautiful, cozy and comfortable. The stay served with free breakfast and welcome drink but dinner required to pre-booked (full course with appetiser, teriyaki salmon, wagyu main course and dessert). The foods are very delicious, and value for money. The host Hitomi-san is superb professional, attentive, helpful, welcoming and considered. I have requested assistance to deliver my luggage to my next accommodation during my check in, she managed to arrange it even is last minute request. She helped me to check if the morning bus coming and even helped me to chase the bus which allow me managed to get the bus on time. The other staffs also friendly and professional. Really thankful for hosting me with your property. ❤️

She gave me everything I need to have for my trip, e.g. travel info, tips and comfort, which I felt being at home. Thank you very much!

My family and I liked how spacious, convenient and warm welcoming our host was! The location was few minutes walking distance to local restaurants and family mart. It was also approximately 8 minutes from Kumano Hayatama Taisha and in front of the bus stop heading towards to Nachi. Our host, Sasaki-san, was also kind to give us an introduction to the place along with offering free icecream, beer and sake! Overall we recommend this place!

The location is very good. It’s near the bus stop and the convenience store. And if you wake up early like me and there’s no bus at that time, you still able walk to the Shingu station. The hostel has 4 bicycles to be borrowed with no charge. You can ride it around the city.

Location is very central and close to bus stop. Onsen is also good although not outside but facility good and clean. The owners are very nice and helpful to us
