At the guest house, the units come with bed linen and towels. It’s a lovely little place in a great location. Everything is in walking distance. The place is really small and can house max 4 males and 4 females. It creates a more cozy atmosphere. Each bunk has a tiny space to store your luggage with doors and curtains around each bunk. You don’t have to climb up and down to get access to your luggage. The owner is very nice and helpful and speaks good English even though the name of the place might not suggest it. 100% recommend and will stay again.

On the day of check in , muu-chan, one of the guest house manager is very kind and luckily we had a great time with other wonderful guests from all over the world, the stars we saw together at night on the near by beach were beautiful! This is one of the best guest house for me.

1.9 km from Tabaga Beach, MAETAKAYA しまんちゅ is a recently renovated property set in Ishigaki Island and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The property is around 18 km from Yaeyama Museum, 23 km from Tamatorizaki Observation Point and less than 1 km from Kabira Bay. The guest house has family rooms. The hotel is amazing. The staff is super friendly and sweet. The breakfast was delicious and the lady even changed it up a bit every day and was happy to make it vegetarian for me. Also the view was beautiful. The bed is very comfortable and room had everything you need. There's a fridge you can use as well. The location is very quiet, I was able to get around by foot and public transport. There's also a bike rental in town, just don't expect much.

Towels and bed linen are provided in the guest house. The property has an outdoor dining area. Jordy and Eriko are great hosts, very knowledgeable about the island with useful guidance for activities and restaurants in English, French and Japanese. Jordy even brought us some fresh organic tomatoes from their farm. The property overlooks the sea and the beach is a few steps down, secluded at high tide but opens up for long scenic walks as the tide recedes. The waters are calm even on windy days as the waves break on a reef far offshore. There a quite a few good local restaurants close by. The property is centrally located from where you can reach almost any point on the island in a maximum of 30 drive. The house is spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, kayaks, bicycles, small catamaran, snorkeling equipment, rash guards and beach footwear are conveniently available. We really enjoyed our stay at Oceanos and will book again when we return to Ishigakijima
