I asked them to arrange a surprise dinner for me and my boyfriend and they went all out! Also we did the boat trip and it was veryyyy good, but they need a minimum of 5 people so we were quite lucky that it was possible. They also have puppies at the moment!!

It's situated in a charming local neighborhood filled with delightful restaurants and bars. Ellen's house is spacious, featuring a large lobby where you can work, relax, or enjoy a coffee—Ellen even has a real coffee maker! The entrance is impeccably clean, just like the rest of the house. The room only had a fan, but that wasn't an issue; the window with a net screen provided fantastic ventilation. The cold water in the bathroom wasn't as cold as you might expect, but it was at a pleasant temperature. If you need hot water in a shower, it's conveniently available downstairs, there is bathroom you can use. There's also a kitchen where you can prepare a sandwich or slice some fruit to enjoy on a plate. Everything is tidy and user-friendly. You can also make free refill of your bottles! And there is also a fridge to store your meal / cool your bottles... You can pay by card upon your arrival at the property. It's just a short walk from the pier, but I wouldn't recommend bringing a suitcase; a backpack is much more practical due to the lack of regular roads. One of the highlights of M'Pai village is definitely the food. There are numerous fantastic restaurants! After my experience in Koh Rong, where finding good food was a challenge, this felt like a culinary paradise. Seapony is perfect for breakfast, while Dragonfly is great for drinks and light meals—especially their baba ganoush with flatbread! I ended up extending my stay because the location was simply wonderful. For 5usd you can take a water taxi to other beaches but I prefered M´Pai vibes.

Every morning the owner made me a great coffee, and in the evenings his wife prepared the best vegetable soup. For exploring the island, it’s ideal to rent a scooter — you can do so right upon arrival at Longset Pier, and if you don’t have too much luggage, you can head straight to the guesthouse. Overall, I truly recommend this place

Friend of Nature Bungalow is a recently renovated guest house in Koh Rong Island, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a water park. The accommodation features a business centre, room service and currency exchange for guests. Everything. So peaceful and amongst the locals far from tourists. Could use the kyack to explore the mangroves & beach. Bungalow is fully sheltered from the rain and sun. It was off-season, so luckily, one cade was open with good food, only $3.

The guest house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. The location of the bungalow was great, in easy reach of restaurant and the piers. The best of our stay were the pavilions with available hammocks overlooking the sea and bay in front of the bungalows. Johny was a great help during our stay and welcomed us with a cold drink. He also organised a scooter and an amazing boat tour. A water tank is provided which is very much appreciated.

It is set less than 1 km from M’Pai Bay Wild Beach and provides bicycle parking. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. We absolutely loved our time on koh rong sanloem and at Sam’s guesthouse. She was absolutely amazing and helped us with anything we needed. She gave us loads of information about the island, recommended places which were good to eat and any events that were happening and she was always up for a chat. We wanted to stay an extra night as we loved it and she happily accommodated us at a discounted price which was fab! The room was lovely, and perfect for what we needed for a few nights. The rooms do get quite hot obviously but there is a fan. It’s in such a good location too, a couple minute walk to the beach and lots of bars and restaurants around. If you’re thinking of staying on koh rong sanloem I would highly recommend here! The island does experience some power cuts but they didn’t last long at all and weren’t an inconvenience for us, but it’s not any of the hotel/guesthouses fault so don’t blame them for it.

The couple running it were very lovely people! Nice location if you're looking for a chilled vibe with the beach and a great restaurant near by!
