Nice and clean room. Small balcony with view on the Mekong. Owner is super helfpul and will arrange scooter rental or rides to the next destination. Restaurant with good western and lao dishes. WOULD RECOMMEND! :)

Always helpful. Attached restaurant serves excellent food. My wife and I are vegan so it was very hard to find much on the island in low season. This little restaurant was a life saver!

The hosts Xavier and his wife were very helpful and pleasant. He organised my trip down to Don Det. The guesthouse was in a quiet area. I slept very well there.

Tanoi and Sander were such kind hosts, and they made my stay absolutely amazing. Don Som is a very cute little island, and the paths around it are very good for walking and taking photos :) The food was also really good, and the property itself was beautiful. I ended up extending my stay, and I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much for an amazing experience!!

Coming here feels like beeing invited to the family, or a circle of new friends in a wild garden. You can connect over the shared meals, board games, boule, communal sunset watching every evening. The Hosts Alex and Laymon actively support the initiation of common activities. Still, if you retreat into the cabin, you have privacy. Breakfast is one of the best I had in Indochina, and every Dinner is a unique experience of best authentic Lao food. The private beach is small, but completely sufficient for the small island community. If you feel like going out, someone will bring you over for free in no time. Else you can chill in one of the many hammocks and just let the world flow by.

What a great place to stay on the magical island of Don Det. The room was great and the bed was comfy. Room also comes with air conditioning if selected. You have a great private balcony that you can watch the sunset from daily. You can rent all of your travel plans and all excursions right from the hotel for a low price. The location is great due to being on the opposite side of the island from the port. You can still get over to all the party bars in just a 5 min walk but you don't have to hear the action from your room. My wife got sick while in Don Det and the staff did everything to make our stay as good as possible including letting us add an extra night last minute for a very fair rate. Top notch place and very relaxing

We stayed at the lovely bungalow right by the water. It had a big deck with chairs and a hammock. The room was big and decorated nicely. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the family that runs it was very friendly.
