At the guest house, all units are soundproof. The university and the area was very pretty and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice that there were elevators .

A couple of very nice restaurants around. The place itself is charming: in colonial style and by the river, the room is cool, airy and have terrace looking over the backyard. the night is so quiet that you hear insects chirping. The location is a bit off from center, but it's an easy distance and very nice by bike/scooter or ferry.

Loved the family style breakfast served anytime between 7:30 - 10:30; its great for meeting new people, and spending time getting to know the hosts. I also had the BEST shower to date in Southeast Asia, and the room is comfortable and quiet making sleep easy. You’re slightly outside of the main strip of Luang Prabang, but the bikes on-site are nicer than most rentals and make it easy and convenient to get around. Being slightly outside of the main drag also ensures you’ll explore other parts of the city.

Lynn, the receptionist, and her husband went consistently out of their way to make our stay as pleasant and problem-free as possible. She reminded me of a concierge in a five star hotel, who are legendary for accommodating all the requests of their guests. The facilities were very good but her smile and special attention to each guest added an extra dimension that no physical facility can replace. Her attentions to details were also a plus. The room was clean, spacious and the hot shower worked very well. The location is fantastic. One minute away from everything and yet tugged in a very quiet street in an authentic and charming old building.
