Wilpattu Restaurant & Guest house encontra-se em Pahala Maragahawewa, a 33 km de Kumbichchan Kulama Tank e a 33 km de Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. Brand new rooms above a small restaurant. Welcoming and kind host family. Strong AC and beautiful view from the balcony. Be aware there is no hot water, but as we learned, this is fairly common in Sri Lanka. It’s on the main road, so there is some traffic noise, but it didn’t bother us. Dinner is also available with notice to the family.

MONI FARM HOUSE WILPATTU apresenta acomodações com ar condicionado em Nochchiyagama. O alojamento dispõe de terraço, acesso Wi-Fi gratuito e estacionamento privado gratuito. I would highly recommend this place for both locals and foreigners alike. The caretaker is amazing, he came to the road on his scooter to show us the way. The owner is super responsive and flexible.

Apresentando bicicletas gratuitas, jardim e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort situa-se em Habawewa, a 39 km de Kumbichchan Kulama Tank e a 39 km de Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. Great location. Nicely tucked away from the road amongst the forest. Lots of birds including jungle fowl to watch from the patio. Walk in from the road via a pathway. They met us to help carry our bags. Dinner was traditional Sri Lankan curry - vegetarian or chicken. Followed by yoghurt and fruit for dessert. Plenty of food, not spicy and was yummy. Other options for dinner were fried rice or vegetable noodles. Breakfast was packed for us for the following day safari. 2 egg sandwiches, a banana, yoghurt and water. Sufficient for the half day. The best part is the very close lake and dirt road. We went for a walk with binoculars and saw deer, langurs, crocodile, hornbills and lots of other birds and lizards too. A much better, slower paced experience and one not to miss. We booked a half day tour with the host. In hindsight we would have booked a different tour. Pillows weren't overly comfortable but was OK for 1 night.

Kalhara is the perfect host , highly attentive and thoughtful about every small detail. The rooms are spacious, with a minimal aesthetic, well maintained and super clean. Every meal was a lovely home cooked spread, accommodating certain dietary restrictions . One of the best stay experiences I had during my two week trip in Srilanka.

VISU VILLA hotel encontra-se em Habarana, a 10 km de Ruínas do Mosteiro Ritigala, e apresenta acomodações com uma piscina exterior, estacionamento privado gratuito, um jardim e um salão partilhado. It’s very rustic and simple. AC is very functional. There were a few hiccups, but the outstanding staff addressed everything immediately. Everything I tried on the menu was delicious. There isn’t a lot to do in Habarana, but it’s a great location to stay if you want to visit the cave temple, Sigiriya, Miniriya and Polonnaruwa. The first three are less than 30 mins away. Polonnaruwa was a fast hour.

Staying at Sweet Home Tourist Rest turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Sri Lanka. It’s rare to find a place that offers both great value and a truly personal touch , but this one does exactly that. Instead of just a room, we had an entire private apartment, including a comfortable living room, which gave us so much space to relax. It was quiet, clean, and located in a peaceful part of town, making it easy to rest and recharge between our adventures. And considering the price, it felt like an absolute steal. What really made this stay unforgettable were the authentic experiences arranged by the hosts. Nilukshan helped us explore some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites with thoughtfully organized tours, the Wilpattu safari was stunning, and our visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale gave us a deep appreciation for the country’s culture and history. Everything was well-timed, smooth, and stress-free. We also had the chance to join a Sri Lankan cooking class with Malsha, which ended up being one of our favorite memories. The class was fun, hands-on, and filled with flavor, we left not just with full stomachs, but with recipes and techniques we can take home with us. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want comfort, authenticity, and connection this is the place. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Blooming Holiday Resort encontra-se em Anuradhapura, a 4,2 km de Anuradhapura Railway Station, e apresenta acomodações com uma piscina exterior, estacionamento privado gratuito, um jardim e um... A really nice place with a beautiful family that is caring about their guests a lot! The rooms are big and clean, the shower as well as the AC was really good! Also the pool was clean and refreshing :) The breakfast and dinner was amazing and different every day - really worth it. We got a little cold and the whole family cared so much for us, even made a fresh veggie soup and didnt even charge for it! Thank you Mama Anuradhapura and family 🧡

Habarana Dulwan Guest House encontra-se a 12 km de Ruínas do Mosteiro Ritigala e apresenta acomodações com um jardim, um terraço e serviço de quartos, para sua conveniência. Very close to town and the air conditioning was great. The owner is so lovely and organised so much for us. Brought us around on his tuk tuk free of charge. The breakfast was also amazing! Highly recommend. 10mins on a tuk tuk from the train station.

The room was nice an clean, Ac worked perfectly. But the best was Pali and his family. Such nice people! We spent the Vesak here, and they did the best to make our stay and experience be the best. We rent bikes to go to the temples, Pali drove us around in his tuktuk... they are amazing
