Super kind hosts, they were so attentive. They made us dinner even though we arrived late, they even got up at 5am to make us breakfast to bring with us on our safari. Location was great as we’re close to the safari. The room was comfortable and everything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

Everything was just as promised. There were no other guests that night so I had the living room and verandah to myself. Everything went as expected.

A Perfect Start to Our Sri Lanka Adventure – Moni Farmhouse, Wilpattu Our stay at Moni Farmhouse in Wilpattu was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Buddika, who managed our transfers, meals, accommodation, and safari experience with incredible professionalism and kindness. He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Buddika for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Thanks to him, our journey through Sri Lanka started in the best possible way. Highly recommended!

Nicely tucked away from the road amongst the forest. Lots of birds including jungle fowl to watch from the patio. Walk in from the road via a pathway. They met us to help carry our bags. Dinner was traditional Sri Lankan curry - vegetarian or chicken. Followed by yoghurt and fruit for dessert. Plenty of food, not spicy and was yummy. Other options for dinner were fried rice or vegetable noodles. Breakfast was packed for us for the following day safari. 2 egg sandwiches, a banana, yoghurt and water. Sufficient for the half day. The best part is the very close lake and dirt road. We went for a walk with binoculars and saw deer, langurs, crocodile, hornbills and lots of other birds and lizards too. A much better, slower paced experience and one not to miss. We booked a half day tour with the host. In hindsight we would have booked a different tour. Pillows weren't overly comfortable but was OK for 1 night.

PROPERTY: Lovely homestay surrounded by trees and lovely garden.The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. All the facilities like hot water, airconditioning, water pressure etc was perfect. BREAKFAST:Our breakfast was included and it was the best we had in Srilanka.Its varied everyday and its plentiful and very tasty.(SEE PHOTOS) We had 2 dinners cooked by his wife and they were delicious and generous portions. TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. The guest room upstairs is very spacious and tidy. The balcony is a lovely place to chill out in the evening. The host’s cooking is fabulous. We had both breakfast and dinner and throughly enjoyed it. We also had our laundry done promptly. We parked our rented tuk tuk safely in the front garden of the Sweet Home. All was sweet and sound! We had a great time at Blooming Holiday! The family who runs the place is genuinely kind and welcoming, making our visit truly pleasant. They organized an excellent tour of Annuradhapura and a good safari to Wilpattu National Park, which made our planning effortless. Each evening, they cooked us amazing curries – a definite highlight of our stay. Our room was always spotless, and the small pool was a wonderfully refreshing spot to cool down from the heat. We can highly recommend Blooming Holiday for anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay!
