Couldn’t recommend more. It had everything, comfy bed, good AC and fan, free great brekky, nice view, laundry, TV and awesome staff. Really good value for money also. A nice place to recover a few days.

My stay at Corner Cottage will remain a positive memory of my time in Sri Lanka. Gihan and his wife truly care for all of their guests, looking after their wellbeing and also allowing for independence and privacy. It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

The owner has used his artistic skills to make this one of the most enchanting boutique property anywhere. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is a short tuk tuk ride to the lake, downtown and nearby restaurants. Even comes with a small pool to cool off in on those hot days. Highly recommended!

Accessible via private entrance, all units have air conditioning, soundproofing, desk and a private bathroom with a shower. All units come with a patio boasting an outdoor dining area. At the guest house, units come with bed linen and towels. Lovely hosts, they helped organise transportation for us to and from Pidurangala rock for sunrise as well as a car from their home stay to our next location, Kandy. Our safari was also suggested and arranged for us by our hosts. The little things go a long way. We arrived in a downpour and our hosts very kindly met us both by the cars with umbrellas whilst they helped us with our bags. Breakfast was delicious, too and we were enjoyed having dinner with the hosts on the first evening we arrived. When staying at Yashi’s place, you must visit the Lady Cafe at the end of the road - this was a great recommendation by the host and the best food we had throughout our whole trip in Sri Lanka. The room was large and clean. The gardens surrounding Yashi’s place were beautiful - we especially enjoyed seeing the peacocks in the trees as we ate our meals!

This is the best place we’ve stayed in all Sri Lanka … but what makes this place even more special is the manager “Yama”… he makes everyone feel like their home and the vibe is unbeatable …. We loved board game night, the price quality ratio is unbeatable and you have groceries, restaurants and easy access into the city center + train station
