The place is pretty, well maintained, and clean. Nice vibe to chill. All the staff is super friendly and welcoming. I appreciate the guide for a quick intro to the town, restaurants, and surf spots. I also appreciate the board with upcoming events around. Makai is at a ~6 min walk from the main street and in front of a bus stop in this main street, convenient to go to downtown or surf spots. Even more convenient if you have a motorbike. Some of the restaurants nearby are good so you can just walk to get good food. Would recommend!

Our stay was great! Everything went smoothly, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfasts were varied. The place is quiet, and we had no disturbances at night. The shower room with an open roof was a unique experience. We highly recommend this place for its comfort and peaceful atmosphere!

Place was perfect—super clean, cozy, and had a big bed with a great bathroom. The room had AC and was very comfortable. Ajith is an outstanding, friendly host who made us feel right at home. The breakfast was awesome, with lots of options. I highly recommend Tide’s Tale to anyone visiting Galle and can’t wait to return for another experience. Thank you, Ajith, for making our stay so wonderful!

It's been 10 minutes and I miss you already(. This perfect place for a relax and learning surfing. Before that, I was afraid ocean and waves, because i had an terrible incident in the ocean. Now, I’m started surfing, and not afraid like before. Thanks Paula and Rodolfo for this experience, you a great teacher! This house is a good location, 1-2 minutes to the a beach, 5 minutes to the great caffee, all stay near house. Omg, people who leave and owner this house THE BEST. The surf hotel name is "Ohana", which means "family" (it really is). Its my favorite vacation. I stay here a long time, and necessarily I’m come back

The host is friendly and very kind. Room is super spacious and very clean. My favourite thing was the fabulous breakfast. The best place I have ever stayed in Galle. Highly recommend for the people who are looking for a wonderful place to stay.

We had an amazing stay at Stuthi villa, it is a quiet place with a beautiful swimming pool. The room was very nice with an amazing outside shower. The breakfast was very good and the staff is very friendly. I would totally recommend this place to anyone! A special thanks to Stephane and the staff for welcoming us and making us feel like home!

Excellent service and an amazing manager. We were checked in early and welcomed with fresh juice. The rooms were spacious and very nice, and the view from the balcony was fantastic. One of the most beautiful hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka — everything was just as it should be. The breakfast was huge and delicious. Our flight was late in the evening, and we were allowed to stay and use the hotel facilities even after checking out. On top of that, the lovely manager entertained us with interesting stories about Sri Lanka. We truly regret not being able to stay longer. Highly recommended!
