We were very happy staying here. Very nice and clean rooms. The staff is very good. We came here by bus. They picked us up from the bus stand for free. We went on a very wonderful yala safari tour. We were given a very comfortable jeep and a very knowledgeable driver. We saw many animals. I want to say especially that we saw leopards. The next day we were given a vehicle to go to arugambay for a very low price.

I loved a lot that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and at any time accessible, the rooms were tidy, clean, and very spacious. Large balcony, private and quiet. The location was great too. I spent there 2 nights and it was very relaxing. The breakfast was delicious too. Definitely recommend this place. Great value for the money!

Su welcomed me with a big hug and that kidness was constant during my short stay. She brough me a passion fruit juice after my long trip and woke me up with a coffee for the safari. Her husband was waiting with me to help me catch the right bus. The room was spotless, clean and comfortable with a nice balcony.

It’s an oasis which has been developed with much love and care. The people running it are wonderful, the rooms are clean and stylish and the swimming pool is perfect. It’s a 5 minute walk to the (empty) beach and a 10 min walk to the turtle rescue center. It only has four rooms so it’s quiet and private. You have a unique view of the lagoon with all kinds of animals, and peacocks that love to use the roof of the lodge!

I can't say enough great things about this homestay! They arranged our transfer from Ella and arranged a morning and afternoon safari for us. We were greeted with a delicious cold coconut water, in the coconut. We chose the breakfast and dinner option which makes so much sense because the town is a bit of a walk and after a safari all day (4:30 am to 6:30 pm) it is great to have dinner at the homestay. Both dinners we had were excellent, I think the best food we've had in Sri Lanka! They also pack a breakfast to go on your safari day because of leaving so early. When you wake up they have coffee and bananas for you before leaving. Our room was a great size, ac and hot water worked well. The owners are very kind, friendly and even drove us to the bus stop, stayed with us and made sure we got on the right bus. I highly recommend Tissa Rainbow for your stay while exploring Yala National Park, you won't regret it!

I was initially skeptical of the all 10 star reviews on here but man they surpassed all my expectations when I got there. Rooms are big and clean, I checked in quite late at night and the manager Dumee was there to help. The food was AMAZING, and catered very well to my vegan requests. Dumee took me around Rekawa beach and showed me the untouched beaches and the marsh land for birdwatching. The property is abundant with greenery and sitting outside on the balcony at breakfast with the sound of the birds and the rain was pure bliss. If I ever find myself in that area, this is the only place I will stay. Dumee is super experienced in hospitality and the service during my stay showed a lot. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful setting with a short walk to the beach. The pool and garden is clean, beautiful and serene! We loved our big balcony to sit on and listen to the birds! They greeted us with fruit juice which was very nice. They helped arrange a tour to Udalwala national park and also transportation to our next Location. Also their pumpkin soup is the best! Thank you!

The owner of the guesthouse is very warm-hearted and trustworthy. On the first day of our stay, he took us on a free bird-watching tour, and we also saw bats and crocodiles. He was very professional! He helped with everything, making us feel completely at ease. Since we only had half a day for the safari and returned early, he took us for an owl and bird-watching trip at noon. The safari driver arranged by our private driver wasn't very good, and we saw nothing on two trips. In the end, because we really wanted to see a leopard, we returned from Mirissa and joined the safari the next day. The driver the owner arranged was highly professional and shared a lot of expert knowledge with us. The owner even joined us, which really made us feel safe and reassured. Highly recommended!
