Dinner at their restaurant was affordable and delicious. On the morning we left, they drove us to the bus station and stayed with us to make sure we caught the right bus. If you’re staying in Dambulla you should definitely stay here. These may be the most helpful hosts I’ve ever had while travelling across Southeast Asia.

The homestay is a short walk away from the center and also from the Lion's Rock. This makes it a quieter location, yet very accessible. The basic hut had everything required for a comfortable stay. The host and his family were incredibly welcoming. I was asked if I wanted to eat anything and ended up having my breakfasts and dinners at the accommodation restaurant. All foods were home-made by the family and more than plentiful! I enjoyed all activities offered by the hosts. I attended a Sri Lankan cooking workshop with the wife and daughter (several curries, pol sambol, and rice) and the host provided transport to the bus station and to the herbal gardens. He is knowledgable about available activities and happy to help plan your trip. The whole family was very welcoming and many my stay very comfortable, thank you!
