I am very happy with my choice of this hotel. It is located just a 5-minute jeep ride from the national park, yet far enough from the main road to ensure complete peace and quiet. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden, where peacocks, squirrels, lizards, and other wildlife freely roam. It was wonderful to be immersed in the sounds of nature, making it feel like an extension of the safari experience. The rooms, especially those on the first floor, are spacious and very comfortable. The food was good, with both à la carte and buffet options available. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the pool was well-maintained.

Nature World was simply amazing. Room was spacious, clean, had everything you may need. Breakfast included in the price were delicious, everyday something different. Rice and curry for dinner was one of the best I had in Sri Lanka. The owner and his family were very kind and hospitable, always smiling and helped with everything. Also organised for me safari for very reasonable price. You get so much value for very little price.

Room - comfortable, big, with a nice ensuite and a serene patio overlooking a forest. Staff - very friendly and accommodating, and quick to respond to any requests on WhatsApp. Safari - I joined the Safari attached to the hotel and can recommend it highly. The driver was excellent at identifying wildlife and was often first to see rare animals. I did two tours: 4h one afternoon and 6h one morning. Both times, the guide was excellent. He has a deep respect for the wildlife and the animals and this really comes across in his tours. He even invited me to dinner with his family afterwards which was an honour and a treat - thank you!

Spacious cabin, spotlessly clean and wonderful hosts. The outside shower was wonderful with a cascade of water to wash in.The dinner was fabulous, really authentic Sri Lankan vegetarian food which was beautifully presented. It was my favourite breakfast on my trip so far and I stayed in a couple of 5 star expensive places. Like the dinner it was more of an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast. So far my favourite accomodation out of 6 in Sri Lanka. 100% recommended!

Nice tent house, really friendly and welcoming hosts. We were greated by a welcome drink, the family cooked us a really nice 4 curry dinner. They also helped us organise a safari trip and gave us a king coconut on our way out. We really enjoyed our stay and the whole experience. Highly recommend.

We had a very nice stay at La Casa for a 1 day safari in Udawalawe. The room was clean and well furnished, the hosts very kind and the (homemade) traditional sri lankan dinner delicious. We hope to visit this place next year as well. Thanks lot!

I loved every minute of my stay at Hasthi’s safari cottage! The room was beautiful, the outdoor bathroom is so peaceful and Mum’s cooking was amazing!!!! I felt really well looked after, the staff always checking to make sure I was happy and even a delicious aloe Vera drink on arrival. My host even gave me directions to get to Ella on the bus and came to make sure I found the bus stop ok- this was so lovely! My safari trip was organised for me and they thoughtfully gave me snacks to take with for the early start. I really recommend booking your stay here! Thank you Hasthi, Family and staff!
