They arranged a very nice safari tour. We saw leopard and lot of animals .i think better you booked the safari earlier because their safari jeeps also busy. Highly recomended ..

At the guest house, all units are equipped with bed linen and towels. Amazing property. Wish we had booked for longer! Great pool with lots of sun loungers and beanbags. Owner is also a chef. We had a wonderful breakfast and wish we had more time to experience his cooking for lunch or dinner. Were also very helpful arranging Yala safari for us ☺️

The owner lady was truly the nicest person we met in all of Sri Lanka – so friendly, welcoming, and caring. She went above and beyond to help us organize our safari and even arranged our departure taxi, which made everything so easy. I had the BEST time here!!!!! The room was clean and very spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Laundry & meals were at a very reasonable price. The food was amazing and in huge portion. After some time travelling I feel safe to say that you can tell the difference between people just making money of you and people who really know what they are doing and want the best for you. And Priya only wants the best for you and he will go out of his way to give you anything you want. From picking us up at the bus stop for free, coming to get us when it started raining and we were in the city, taking us to a beautiful little safari around the lake at sunset showing us lots of birds, crocodiles and bats, recommending us which buses to take from and to other destinations, to organizing the best safari we could hope for. He recommended us to do a full day in block 1 and we are really happy we took his advice. Priya works with very experienced guides and we had an amazing safari and even though it was peak season we managed to be most of the day alone and witness the park for what it is with its beauty and variety of animals. The accomodation itself is quite simple but it was more than enough for us. Nice clean room, good wifi, good AC, good food, comfortable bed. Absolutely recommend!

The place is really nice and calm, and the staff is very friendly!

Bundala Bird Sanctuary is 26 km from the guest house, while Situlpawwa is 39 km from the property. Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 28 km away. We had an incredible time at the lake face cabana. One of our highlights in Sri Lanka. We stayed at a cabin for 2 nights so we can do an early morning Safari at Yala National Park. The location is like a hidden Oasis. It’s in the middle of nature, overlooking a beautiful lake full of charm and wild (harmless) animals. What’s most amazing are the owners family of this hotel. Hard working parents with two young daughters who from the moment we stepped in made us feel like we are visiting family. Very friendly, with very impressive story of resilience and hard work to get to where they are today. The food was so delicious, cooked with love by the owner. We had dream breakfasts, tea and fruit platters, all sorts of juices and of course delicious rice and curry (the best we had in Sri Lanka) For the Safari we booked through the company which was recommended through this hotel, and we were picked up at 4:30 for a 30-40 minutes drive to the national park. The owner also offered for us a free tour in the nearby area to see the fruit bats which are very impressive to watch. You can also watch all sorts of birds and wild life while sitting in the balcony of the Cabana which was magical. We didn’t want to leave in the last day, and saying goodbye to the family was the hardest as it felt we were saying goodbye to family. Certainly the best part of our Sri Lanka trip. And we will definitely go back again.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We even had a packed breakfast as we had early safaris each day. Cannot praise enough. Make sure you visit the Crocs before you leave!!!
