The owner Giancarlo is fantastic; even before my arrival, he reached out to provide me with all the essential details for reaching the apartment. He even went the extra mile by personally picking me up from the port. His insights on local landmarks, must-see attractions, and top dining spots were very appreciated. The room itself is beautiful with a lovely traditional touch. But the real gem is the terrace, affording a direct, breathtaking view of the Cittadella. As for the location, it couldn't be more ideal – just a leisurely 15-minute walk to the heart of the city and the main bus station, offering access to all the connections. Opting for this accommodation was a fantastic choice, and a wonderful experience.

Anna is a delightful host as are all the staff here. Breakfast is excellent, made to order and has daily homemade cake. The building feels authentic but has all the modern touches to make you feel comfortable. Location can't be beaten, right in the centre of Victoria with rooms at the back looking up at the citadel

Run by 2 sisters, Maria Giovanna Guest House takes its name from their mother and grandmother who managed the property before them. One of the sisters is a pastry chef and prepares homemade cakes for breakfast each morning. This is a little gem; everything was perfect. Sonia was very helpful, her staff friendly and she’s an amazing baker!! The breakfast is simply marvellous and includes hot cooked to order as well as a beautiful array, buffet style, including at least one of Sonia’s freshly baked cakes or tarts. The building is beautifully restored and the finishes are charming. The place and the people are very warm and welcoming. It is very easy to find if travelling there by bus-just a few steps back from the bus stop. It’s close to Victoria as well.

It is clean, peaceful, and offers good value for money. The owner, David, is very polite and welcoming, and provides his phone number in case you need anything.
