Unfortunately, at our first place, we didn’t have an ocean view, and we really wanted to make up for that. We were not disappointed here—there's a beautiful view, and if you get an apartment on the second floor, the view is even better. We had two rooms and a spacious kitchen. There was no hairdryer initially, but the host kindly provided one for us. The quick communication with the host was a big plus. Pipine was very considerate and offered us a cleaning service after 2-3 days of our stay. We declined since we are used to keeping things tidy ourselves. Another option available was the rental of a double kayak for 1000 rupees. I think this is a fair price, and we had a great time spending half a day on the kayak. We circled the island opposite and paddled to Crystal Rock Island—it was an amazing experience. The only downside I could mention is the parking. It can be difficult to park four cars, but I parked mine outside, and had no issues. Overall, I had an excellent experience at this place, and I would happily return.

Lovely building tucked away on a residential street, easy parking and walking distance to lots of local restaurants, supermarket. Nice pool and rooms are spacious and great. Most of all the host Mathieu is a really great guy and couldn’t have done more for us. Clear instructions, great local tips, flex around check in and out times - just first class. We spent a bunch of time in a big-brand 5* resort before this and honestly now wish we’d stayed only done a couple of nights there max and spent much more time here. Quarter of the price and better overall local experience. Thanks for everything Mat!

Well maintained and clean properly. Great views from the two bedroom unit. Super friendly staff. Apartment was so comfy we didn’t want to leave !

All units comprise a seating area, and a fully equipped kitchen with various cooking facilities, including a microwave, a fridge and kitchenware. Units are equipped with a coffee machine, a private bathroom and free WiFi, while selected rooms also offer a terrace and some have sea views. At the guest house, every unit is equipped with bed linen and towels. When we first stumbled upon this accommodation, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Our hosts, Annick and Jean-Pierre, are the most thoughtful, gracious hosts (even when we called Annick for the pad key number which she had already sent us - twice!). They provided us with all the information we needed and showed us around the place. The spot is absolutely magic, with a view to die for overlooking not only the lagoon but also a UNESCO site mountain. It is just perfect! The place is compact and contains everything one needs. The bed is super comfortable, the outside shower is something one must not miss, and the quaint veranda overlooking the lagoon is excellent. I know I am repeating myself, but the location is just incredible - you literally hear the waves licking against the side of the room at night and wake up with a lagoon literally at your feet. Annick had excellent restaurant recommendations and for the overall area, and was of great help. Thanks Annick and Jean-Pierre for opening the doors of Harmonie to us. We had a wonderful weekend and will be back for sure (we will order some extra sun next time)

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool and views of mountain, Shanti Ghar Guest House is a recently renovated guest house set in Tamarin, 1.8 km from Tamarin Beach. This property offers access to a balcony, table tennis, free private parking and free WiFi. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The guest house is soooo homely and the host went over and beyond for me and my family. Everything about Shanti from the decor, rooms and pool left a lasting impression. We will definitely go back.

Set within 500 metres of Flic en Flac Beach and 8.4 km of Tamarina Golf Course in Flic-en-Flac, Son House Studio offers accommodation with seating area. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a year-round outdoor pool. My husband and I were very happy to stay. If you want to have a luxury experience then this place isn't the place to be for you. It is like a homestay, there's everything you need. The location is really good, the beach and restaurant are walking distance (within 7 min) The hosts are really friendly and helpful. Some reviews said the internet speed is low. But I could work smoothly(I didn't use video or voice call though) We didn't use kitchen for cooking. Gus stove with oven and pots are there. The washing machine isn't attached inside of your room, but it is outside for use. I am sure we will be back here if we come to Mauritius again !

The breakfast is what I usually like to have — good coffee, really good baguette, omelette and some fresh fruits. The place is very clean and well maintained. The owner really likes solid wood furniture. The beds, the dining tables and some others were shipped here from Bali. The hostess Sabrina was also amazing and helped us solve some logistics issues with local vendors.
