I found this place right where you can truly feel the Mauritian culture. After being away for 17 years, I decided to treat myself to a weekend back home, and this spot in La Gaulette was absolutely perfect. The apartment was very clean, well equipped, and exactly as shown in the photos. The view from the balcony overlooking the lagoon and Le Morne is simply breathtaking I spent hours just admiring the scenery. Communication with the owner was smooth and friendly, and I felt genuinely welcomed from the moment I arrived. It’s peaceful, authentic, and perfectly located if you want to explore the south or simply relax. I’ll definitely be coming back this stay reminded me why I missed Mauritius so much.

I enjoyed my stay with beautiful view and felt like home. It is located near La Prairie beach, which is only few minutes walking distance away. The host responds quickly to your questions and is helpful. The breakfast is great, especially the local fruits are the best! The bed is super comfortable so after a long day of swimming at the beach or hiking Le Morne, you can easily relax.

Well maintained and clean properly. Great views from the two bedroom unit. Super friendly staff. Apartment was so comfy we didn’t want to leave !

When we first stumbled upon this accommodation, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Our hosts, Annick and Jean-Pierre, are the most thoughtful, gracious hosts (even when we called Annick for the pad key number which she had already sent us - twice!). They provided us with all the information we needed and showed us around the place. The spot is absolutely magic, with a view to die for overlooking not only the lagoon but also a UNESCO site mountain. It is just perfect! The place is compact and contains everything one needs. The bed is super comfortable, the outside shower is something one must not miss, and the quaint veranda overlooking the lagoon is excellent. I know I am repeating myself, but the location is just incredible - you literally hear the waves licking against the side of the room at night and wake up with a lagoon literally at your feet. Annick had excellent restaurant recommendations and for the overall area, and was of great help. Thanks Annick and Jean-Pierre for opening the doors of Harmonie to us. We had a wonderful weekend and will be back for sure (we will order some extra sun next time)

Located on the West Coast of Mauritius Island, Le Gite du Bonheur Guest House & Car Rental is a self catering guest house located in Tamarin, at the foot of the popular La Tourelle Mountain and a 5... Beautiful property, spacious and well decorated. Big swimming pool and jacuzzi that we all enjoyed very much. Well-equipped gym. We used the hammam facilities and the massage therapists were excellent.

Hosts were very attentive and kind. Studio was clean and had all the amenities described.

Featuring an outdoor pool, Happy Days Guest House is located in La Gaulette and 5 minutes' drive from Le Morne and the beach. The property has views of Bénitiers Island. One of the best locations on the island. You have few minutes drive-by to the best beaches. There are restaurants within a walk. Everyone is really kind and helpful. All the attractions you need to see are really close. The breakfast in the hotel is really amazing with fresh fruits and freshly baked bread (baguette) each day. You will really enjoy it.
