The room was beautiful and intimate, so tastefully decorated. The attention to detail was second to none. Both filter coffee and instant coffee were provided with fresh milk in the fridge, and biscuits.The bathroom was bright and spacious with a candelabra next to the bath tub. I left too early to have breakfast at the nearby bistro, so my hosts kindly provided me with an enormous breakfast hamper full of delicious food, even though they do not have a restaurant.

This guesthouse is an oasis a short walk out of the centre of Windhoek with views of the town from the terrace Our room was large and spotless with coffee and tea plus a mini fridge . There is some lovely planting around the terrace . The owners are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and there is the option to either sit on the terrace or in the lovely reception room

Great find, friendly staff. Easy walking to local shops and supermarkets. I highly recommend the morning city walking tour perfect to orientate yourself and offers local history. Safe onsite parking. Bar and themed food nights (Braai, Potjie, pizzas) available for purchase too. Free continental morning breakfast to get you started. Loved the vibe we booked it at the start of our trip and again on our departure.

I was about to leave and check out earlier than the breakfast period, and the staff prepared a really good vegan breakfast for take away, on their suggestion. I appreciated all the kindness and carefulness I received during my stay. Also, the parking lot is closed and safe. Good value for money!

We arrive around 10am which was around 2 hours earlier than we had expected and had told the guest house. On arrival they were welcoming and offered us a room which was ready despite our early arrival. They showed us around the property, letting us know where everything was, when breakfast would be the next day, and what app we should use for taxis. The location was easy to find and we walked on foot from the main road using google maps having just searched "Tourmaline Guest House, Windhoek". Breakfast was nice and filling, there were drinks in the room in a fridge you could have for a reasonable cost, the AC worked really well, and the shower was great. If we are ever back in Windhoek we would consider staying here again and would recommend it to others traveling there.
