Very comfortable and exclusive beds, and all you need inclusive. 2 tight bathrooms, but with floor heating so you can dry weath clothes. All in all the best place we have been to in Aurland, so we will be back👍

This small hotel is a true gem, we loved it! This is a historic building which has been beatifully renovated. There are only 5 rooms and 2,5 bathrooms so even though there are no private bathrooms it is still comfortable. Bathrooms are beatiful and spotlessly clean. Very cozy atmosphere all over the house, lots of common areas to rest or to chat with others. Huge terrass overlooking the fjord and the lake. Our bedroom (double room) was comfortable too with a great view to the fjord. Owners are very kind and helpful, thank you Amelie and Mara!

The sauna is wonderful, especially after a long walk in cold weather. The sauna heats up very quickly. The apartment is well equipped. I don’t think we missed anything. There is even a drying rack for clothes. Beautiful lake, impressive glaciers nearby.

Offering a barbecue and views of the fjord and mountains, Døsen Gård is situated in Luster. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. All units have a private bathroom with a shower. This is a beautiful property that has been in the family for generations. The entire property was beautifully maintained and our room was modern and spotless. The bed was so comfy and the bedding and pillows were great. Olav was the perfect host.

The host was wonderful, very friendly, helpful, and kind, with plenty of great motorcycle route recommendations. The room was clean, quiet, and spacious, with private and safe parking. Having a sofa and an extra comfortable chair in my room was a real bonus. The kitchen was fully equipped and spotless — I could prepare my dinner without any hassle. The bathroom felt just like home. A washing machine was available, and unlike most shared places, detergent was also provided. That was such a thoughtful detail and made it easy for me to do my laundry — thank you! I will definitely be back. Very highly recommended!

Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri is located in the oldest buildings in the village of Aurland. Situated on the shores of Aurlandsfjord, it offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. First off, we showed up after check-in was over - not a problem, we just sent an email and the staff had our whole welcome package and keys ready on the desk. Next, the bed was comfortable, the room quiet, the bathroom clean and nice. The breakfast the next morning was a good Norwegian breakfast - mix of meats and cheeses, different breads, eggs, cereals, and some jelly donuts and square slices of chocolate cake that were honestly amazing. Couldn't stop myself from going back for more of those cakes. Coffee was delicious too. Finally, the locale. First, Aurlandsvangen is an awe-inspiring place. The fjord is vast and the scale will truly impress you. It is definitely something to see in person. The town of Aurland is really nice and has much more in it than neighbouring Gudvangen and a real Scandinavian almost ski-town feel to it. It is a very short drive away from Flam and is definitely a way I would recommend to go if you want to ride the Flamsbana (which a lot of people will report is an excellent way to see the fjords). It's a 4.5 hour drive from Oslo but what a drive. Finally there are roads to go up the mountains to get a breathtaking view of the entire fjord arrangement from up high at Stegastein - my wife is terrified of heights but didn't want to come back down! I can't recommend this place and this town enough if you want to see a beautiful, vast landscape and stay somewhere "cozy" (not small, more like hygge if you're familiar with the term). Oh and I forgot to mention the grounds of the hotel with lots of outdoor seating - you can grab cushions from the chest and they're warm, soft and plush. And it's quiet. It's honestly amazing. Come here.
