The rooms and service were good, but as a traveler my expectations are quite low and I don’t really pay much attention to such things. What always matters more to me are the people, warm conversations and the shared experiences. And I got exactly that! In such a short time, I was leaving the guys as if they were my friends. It was quiet at night. The host was a wonderful gentleman. I had spent 3 months in Nepal and my last two nights were at this spot. If I’m lucky enough to be able to visit Kathmandu again I’ll certainly stay here.

A lovely family run the place and cooked delicious meals everyday from the restaurant within. Great coffee too. Amazing views and walks into the surrounding forest. I absolutely loved my stay.

Dondrub Guest House is located in the Boudhha district in Kathmandu, 800 metres from Boudhanath Stupa, one of Kathmandu’s most sacred Buddhist sites.Private parking is available on site. The location is great, around 10 mins walking distance to Stupa. The staffs are so helpful because my iphone' s charger had some problems, one staff helped a lot to fix it, like borrowing me charger or provide a sim card stick. The hostel is running by a monastery. Great energy and great compassion that you can feel.
