Such a cozy, and homely place. I immediately felt safe after meeting the family and their beautiful children. The beds were incredibly comfortable, shower was great and warm, with a clean toilet, the view and location made it a 10, as the bedrooms can look to either the sunrise or sunset. And to top it off, the food was insane - best Nepali veg curry I’ve ever had.

Our window view was of a temple, and you are literally two blocks from Kathmandu Durbar Square. The room had charging plugs right near the bed, and each room is its own floor so the bathroom — adjacent — is private. There is a water dispenser and a kettle on each floor as well. Bobby suggested that we use the roof are to dry clothes, but he also provides a clothespin rack inside (it’s monsoon season). Bobby was super helpful — met me at the airport, showed us where to change money, helped us buy umbrellas, booked our Tourist bus to Pokhara, arranged for a taxi pickup, and each was a value-for-money experience. He let us store our luggage for our days away for a small fee. The room is only fan-cooled, but I’d gladly put up with the “a little steamy” for the location and the support.

The Anis were wonderful and the breakfast was a great addition that I hadn't expected. Delicious tea. Easy walk to Boudha stupa.

Located within 200 m from Boudhanath Stupa and Sechen Monastery, ROKPA Guest House is located in Boudha, Tinchule. It offers free WiFi access throughout the property. Very polite people, always helpful. Very good territory and nice garden, Stupa view from the rooftop 😍. Very clean rooms, every day we had cleaning. Thank you so much for amazing staying 🥰

Comfortable Accommodations: Shiva Guest House in Bhaktapur offers family rooms with private bathrooms, garden or mountain views, and modern amenities including free WiFi. The hotel is on the edge of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and our room looked directly out to the old palace and temples. Our view was gorgeous. When we wanted to go exploring, we could just step out of the hotel and everything was walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful. In fact, there was a glitch in the Booking.com app where our itinerary, inexplicably, did not match the hotel's. We got a bit anxious and stubborn because we had transcribed our intinerary based on our trip listings in the Booking app. But the owner very patiently asked us to sit down and figure it out, and we were humbled to find that our schedule was mixed up. We were able to sort it all out, because we were taking a side trip to stay outside of town for a night, returning to stay at Shiva House again. Shiva House stored our luggage while we were away. Also, the food in the restaurant is excellent. *There is a restaurant right next door as well, with a beautiful garden courtyard, worth checking out. We hired Myla (not sure of the spelling) to drive us to many sites, which was a great help. Everything is easy walking distance from Shiva House, and we loved that we could walk back and take a break at any time.

Confortable room with good mattress, fan and hot shower. Staff really kind. Delicious Breakfast served on the rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of Thamel. Perfect location. I highly recommend and will definitely come back for my next stay in KTM !
