Our stay with Rosa and Elvis was absolutely incredible. The place, the energy, their hospitality, the rich animal life in their garden. The smell of the jungle. Their dog Kira greeting us every time we enter the property makes this a truly magical experience. We expected to have a good time in Puerto Maldonado, but did not expect to make great new friendships in Rosa and Elvis. We mentioned for them on our second night that we were on our honeymoon, and the next day Rosa brought the beautiful garden inside and transformed our room into the perfect honeymoon suite. Their demeanour and energy made it easy for us to feel welcome and at home. We will forever cherish our late night talks about life, the unknown and future dreams.

Set in Santa Rosa, Shintuyahotsprings offers a garden. The inn features an outdoor swimming pool, hot spring bath and a shared kitchen.

Guests at the inn will be able to enjoy activities in and around Santa Rosa, like fishing. The cabins and shelters and hotsprings are rustic and relaxing. The view from the lodge across the river is idyllic. The host picked us up from Shintuya and made us breakfast and lunch for a small cost.

La Fauna Hotel is located in Puerto Maldonado and features a pool with a view and inner courtyard views. A public bath and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

Some units include a balcony and/or a patio with pool or garden views. At the guest house, all units come with bed linen and towels. Beautiful facility, very clean, large comfy beds, pool, delicious breakfast, and lovely staff. Mosquito nets provided and two minute walk from the town center.

The guest house comes with a flat-screen TV. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. The room I booked wasn’t available and they gave me a beautiful apartment. Good location, quiet and nice modern facilities!
