The short distance to town means you need to take a bus/taxi, but the advantage is the beautiful view, lovely place and excellent safe food and drinks. There are lots of outdoor activities around this location.

Outside the little garden area was very tranquil and I enjoyed both mornings on the balcony overlooking the mountains. The breakfast was superb and very filling! All the staff were very friendly and kind.

Templo del Sol archeological site is a 15-minute walk and the main square is a 3-minute walk away. The location is perfect, as it is central, but also very quite. The room was big and comfortable and the staff very nice and polite.

Situated on the foothills of Pinkuylluna, a sacred Inca mountain, Apu Lodge features cosy regional decor with exposed stones and colourful tapestries. Wi-Fi is free and Cusco’s main Square is 300 metres away. The breakfast had a great variety of fruit, yogurt and granola, as well as an omelet cooked to order. The orange juice was fresh squeezed, and delicious. It exceeded our expectations! The location of the grounds was AMAZING!! We had a great view of many ruins. The lodge Is nestled at the base of one of the huge mountains. Such a BEAUTIFUL location!! The grounds were covered in many different flowers, and a large variety of fruit trees. We enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks, enjoying the tranquility. We also loved how close it was to the town square. We highly recommend staying here the night before going to Machu Pichu, to allow for a shorter train ride, than if you came from Cusco. It breaks up the trip. If you can, stay at least 2 nights!!
