Access to the water is a short walk away (to launch kayaks, etc). We were there over Christmas and he even put up a little Christmas tree in the outdoor kitchen with a present under it for us!

Bed was comfy and kitchen facilities were okay. Owners were lovely and we enjoyed the family pets who visited us.

Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Orufara, like walking tours. The guest house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. The location was amazing. Whike snorkling from the property, I saw turtles, a leopard ray, and a few sharks (they are not dangerous). They lent me snorkling gear for free. Easy to access. Markets and restaurants close by and Elodie and Renaud gave me great information on good places to eat at and to see on the island. It's right next to the best public beach on the island in my opinion. Sunset was right over the tip of the island making for great fading light. The family was super nice, starting with Renaud and Elodie. They made my stay a breeze. I would recommend it to anyone.

1.2 km from Papetoai Beach, Chez PASCAL et KIM is a recently renovated property set in Papetoai and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The property provides a pool with a view, a garden and rooms with pool views. We were so happy to discover that we could rent a kayak from Pascal and Kim and head out directly from the house. Also we were able to borrow a snorkel!

The area is popular for hiking and walking tours, and bike hire is available at the guest house. We had such a unique stay at Mark's place. It is challenging to stay here without a car, but certainly possible, at least for a couple of days. I liked the camp cabin accommodations. The value for a full kitchen and the number of people who could stay in the cabin comfortably was exceptional. The other guests were friendly, but respectful and quiet on the property when it was night. The option to rent kayaks, surfboards and snorkel gear at a reasonable price is wonderful! There are good food and grocery options within walking distance. We would definitely stay again!
