The room was comfortable, and the staff was great and very accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, and they also had reasonably priced food for lunch and dinner. I also loved the swimming pool.

One of the best places I have stayed at during my 4 months in the Philippines. Everything looks almost new, and everything is spotlessly clean. Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice outdoor sitting area right outside the room. Spacious room with plenty of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and towels supplied. The room had a proper desk and also excellent lighting. Good location half way between the port and town, within walking distance to both. Also walking distance to the 'stumble inn' beach bar/restaurant which overlooks the sandbar. There's also a clean and well equipped kitchen with a big fridge and dining table. Free hot and cold water dispenser. Small convenience store on site. You can also do your laundry for free out on the back. Very good WiFi. Excellent place to stay if you want to balance out your budget with a bit of DYO.....I also loved the tiny baby kitten.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here! The room was very spacious, quiet and clean. Hosts were very friendly and helped organise multiple tours for us. It is a decent 10min walk to the main area as we didn’t hire a bike but very doable.

Despite our luck with the weather, Sambag Hideaway was located in a great location, 10mins away from the busy main beach. We could hangout in the bar area, with hammocks and huts, enjoying the thunderstorm. The host was also amazing, giving us local tips and suggestions for places to visit and local guides so we felt we were in safe hands. The best was her suggestion of getting a transfer from Moalboal to Oslob to see the whale sharks then getting the ferry to Panglao, something we didn't know about prior to visiting and was worth getting up at 4.30am for. Thanks for the great time, loved every minute of it

A great stay for this price. The property is extremely clean and has a wunderful garden for relaxing. The room has a quiet aircon , hot shower, fridge , free coffee, good wifi. The staff and owners were all friendly and helpful. It is easy to rent a scooter or organize all activities . We enjoyed our daily jogging to the white beach.. We extended our stay and will come again.

Me and my gf had an amazing time at this family owned establishment. The room is really as pictured, everything works and you can also feel the home has been carefully planed to give comfort to its guests. The hosts are really nice people, helpful and friendly and the view from the terrace is simply stunning! You can sit down at the tables they have on the terrace and look outwards the sea and watch sea turtles play or hunt in the sea, fishermen going about their business or locals swimming in the distance close to the beach. It's simply stunning, nothing short of that! But if you do not want to lay idle you can just open their sea side gate and take a dip in the sea....it's just amazing! For the price you pay, I wouldn't even try to find another place in this area. So if you are still wondering if to book here, you better hurry up and reserve because you can't regret it! I would not only come again but book at least the double or triple amount of nights here! Plenty of places to eat around and Oslob nearby and we discovered movie watching in Oslob village on a weekend night. Many villagers gathered in the plaza to watch movies on a big screen with English subtitles and audio. Salamat po for an amazing stay! Florin & Carly.

Located in Moalboal, 300 metres from Panagsama Beach, Roos Guesthouse has a garden and a terrace. It also features a a bar and a seating/lounge area. We absolutely loved the room and the entire place — the landscaping was beautiful, everything felt fresh and well-maintained, and most of the amenities seemed new and in great condition. I really appreciated having a hairdryer in the room, especially at this price point. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. This is actually the first time I’m leaving a review this positive because I was genuinely impressed. The free breakfast was also a great bonus! The place, the staff — everything truly deserves more recognition.
