The owners are wonderful and bend over backwards to accommodate. Kind and always available day or night. The room was very nice, clean and a basic setup but just right for a week stay. Hot water for your shower is very nice as well. I've stayed at other hotels in Panabo, but will always return to Calo Apartel. Close to most of the area with little walking. That too is a wonderful experience because the shops and food vendors are like friends here. I could write a book on the wonderful experience made possible by staying at this hotel. Cost is very fair and if ever need to stay in Panabo, I know this place has an atmosphere of home.

We booked 2 rooms on New Year's Eve at the last minute and stayed for 2 nights. The staff were very attentive, polite and accommodating. The rooms' amenities were basic with no fridge but the rooms were quiet, spotlessly clean, equipped with good AC, and a well-functioning hot and cold shower. Bedsheets were clean and the rooms come with bread and coffee for breakfast. It was a very good experience, overall. Thank you, The Strands, for a very comfortable and restful stay. Would definitely recommend and come back. :)
