He showed us around and shared the hotel’s history, which added so much depth to our stay. Trust me, as someone who’s a serious foodie and has eaten at countless restaurants, this is not a compliment I give lightly: it was the best food I’ve ever had. The head chef is not just talented but also incredibly warm and passionate. Each dish was a masterpiece, rooted in traditional Portuguese flavors, and the chef took the time to explain the story behind each one. We even had a great chat and discovered he’s a Manchester fan (great taste!) Every bite was an experience, and the meals are something we’ll be dreaming about for years to come. Casa Az-Zagal is a truly special place. From the welcoming staff to the peaceful setting and the unforgettable food, it’s a stay we’ll always remember.
